What's wrong with this picture?

The disc is so rusty, is this something i have to concern? Is this covered under the initial 4 years 80,000km warranty? Thank you.

Hard to tell, but it just looks like surface rust. Has the car been sitting for awhile?

Try driving it a bit in situations where your brakes will get a workout and see what the rotors look like after the surface rust has been scrubbed off.

All cars with steel disk brakes will corrode like that if the brakes get wet and haven't been used far a while. Take a nice shiny set of rotors and spray water on them, you will see surface rust forming within a few minutes.

Quite normal.
