a strange problem

so as some of u may know, my radiator blew cause im retarted nd left the car on with no fans nd a fkd up water pump. but anyways all them parts are out of the way but there is a little weird thing with my car now.

My battery is always fkn dead. when i turn the key to the complete off position this harsh beeping noise come on for a lil. not the "door open, or on position". and when i take out the key completely my interior lights stay on and so do my rear license plate lights. so my question is.. what could be causing this? blow fuse? i hope im not starting to have beemer electrical problems.

Thanks alot guys

The harsh beeping noise it telling you your lights are still on. Most likely your headlight switch is shot. They break internally and will still make contact with some of the light circuits, even though it's in the "off" postion.

Yes, you are starting to have typical BMW electrical problems.

Your trunk light is probably staying on. The wires in the harness running from the body to the trunk lid have a tendency to break or chafe the insulation off and contact a constant ground causing the light to stay on. Open the trunk and push the button and see if the light goes out, if it doesn't, wiggle the wiring harness where it runs from the body to the lid.

He already idenified which lights stay on. The trunk light might be staying on, too, but my money's on the headlight switch (since I had the exact same thing happen to my 318is)

Well when you turn on the car do the headlights come on without turning the knob. Or corners or fogs. That would be a giveaway sign that the switch is to blame.

When you say "interior lights" are you referring to the overhead lights, or the instrument cluster lights?

Don't waste your money having the shop make a cut off switch. They are gonna charge you 100$ go to Orilys or auto zone. You can get a 12amp switch for 7 or 8$ and I stall it at the battery until you FI d the problem. If the If your interior lights are staying on I'm thinking the issue is in the ignition. It sounds like you may have a wire loose or touching in the on position. A
