1999 E36 M3 Convertible
Hello BMW Friends,
I have a 99 E36 M3 Convertible that has 154,000 miles now and I need to know what parts I should replace and what should I have the mechanic check to keep my vehicle in tip top shape. Any comments and suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thank you, Kooma Sutra |

Well you need to describe how long you have owned the car, what you know has been done to it to have us help you.
At this mileage you should be on your: 3rd water pumo, tstat and housing All coolant hoses replaced All belts replaced 2nd set of brake rotors and pads if not the 3rd set Struts should be shot and this should be your 2nd set Shocks same as the struts Lower control arms are shot, bushing, tie rods too Rear control arm bushings are shot Your convertible top is shot if original or close to shot if this is the 2nd top This is pretty typical for a car like yours. Good news is that investing in getting the car up to par will allow you to drive it virtually forever I have 280K miles on mine and I am planning on selling it soon only because I plan to buy a CPO M3 sedan My car has no issues except for a recent passenger side door handle which I will replace... |
