Question A/C blows Hot air

Just had the system evacuated and recharged-HOT AIR blowing through-aux fan not coming on. A/C clutch comes on-no descernable noises from A/C compressor. Repair guy said it is the expansion valve (yet could not gaurantee) before I shell out $500-700 on a gee whiz guess-does anybody have any ideas? Does the aux fan directly relate to the A/C operation? Thanks for your help.

How about the Final Stage Resistor

a fairly cheap part... easy to fix.

Does the AC blow at all... or just heat?

its not hard doing it yourself, but you just going to add refrigerant in there, unlike shops do, they actually take the old ones out and charge it with fresh ones. and it is also illegal to let the refirgerant vapor into the air. if u really want to try, u can PM me
