30,000 miles later and it still makes me smile.

In all was a pretty good buy. Water pump goes on anyone. Thrust arm Bushings are normal for over 100,000 and the Oil seepage (Mechatronics, Oil filter housing gasket) are all normal for car with 60+ on it.

So 2,800 none service repairs on is not bad. I was thinking I would be in the hold for 10k with the way most of you went on.

My biggest headache by far was my tires they where replaced when I bought it and caused the worst vibration I have ever had to nail down. My BMW dealer knew right away what it was but the tire shop took 2 month to convince it was bad tires. Now they are replaced it runs sweet.

I am so thrilled by this car I bought a 2013 X1 for my wife

If it were a 328, I'd say OK, but not this one. If you're looking at a 140K car, I'd guess that you're not too rich, that's fine, but a couple of $3-4,000 repairs will do serious damage to your life. Another one will show up in a month or two with 60K that should be safer. Btw, do some serious searching about extended 'warranties'. They are not regarded as a sure 'get out of jail free' card.

If you do get a warranty, check it is registered with the warranty co asap...dealers get up to all sorts of nonsense.

Got to love the economy we are in when you have to drive 150miles to work

Well I know my car inside out

For 3 years, I was driving 2 1/2 to 3 hours one way to work and home. Only 45 miles though. From North OC to Burbank, Ca. Anyone familiar with that rat bas$%&d of a drive on either the 5 or 210 fwys? So grateful I got out of that! My heart bleeds for anyone with an agonizing drive just so they can stay alive and work.
