Passenger Rear view Mirror Not Tilting

Anyone with a 2012 model car notice whether the passenger rear view mirror tilts downward when you shift the car into reverse?

When I first got the car I thought the mirrior tilted down when i shifted in reverse, but lately I've notice that it does not tilt anymore.

Anyone have any idea why the mirror no longer tilts down? Is there a specific setting that needs to be changed?

You've switched of the tilt feature. The switch is right where your left hand rests on the armrest beside the mirror adjustment buttons.

The switch you're describing is not just for the tilt feature. It's the switch to select which mirror will be adjusted when you press the adjustment buttons. But yes, the switch has to be in the correct position for the passenger mirror to tilt in reverse.

It is a pity that owners of these fine cars do not know these simple featues of the car.
It means that there will be all kinds of functionality that will not be apreciated.
It is rather sad, not taking the time to explore a nice car, like the F10 is, by simply ....

Hmm, I will not say IT.

Managing IT for a large company, I can only say that I completely agree.

If my users would just RTFM once in a while my world would be a better place.

Thank you!

Imagine how embarrassed I was when the car wash guy reached inside the drivers window of my previous E60 and pressed the button to retract the outside mirrors.

Now don't start on me for using a tunnel car wash ...... I traded that AW with 0 swirls

So now I wonder did the OP read the manual, or just flipped the switch?
In the last case did he find the extra 12 volt socket and the smal store room in the dash....
