Pic of F30 main instrument cluster at night...

I just went out and took this shot with my iPhone. The engine is at idle, with the parking brake on (and my belt unfastened).

The yellow warning triangle is illuminated because I am low on fuel (DTE on the OBC). Note the start/stop portion of the tachometer.

Does it display MPH digitally?

Also, i read somewhere that you can change the colors, i think red, white and orange..maybe its nan option in one of the idrive menus

The cabin ambient light can be red or white (they call it "classic or sport"). I didn't seen an option to change other colors, but this car does not have NAV. The multi-function screen in the bottom is full color (doing a lousy job simulating the BMW red in this image). I don't know if it displays MPH... pretty sure I saw it do that yesterday. I'll check and report back.

Any way you can get a shot of the rear license plate lit up at night? Is it LED? Also, does the F30 have the E90 LCI puddle lights (LEDs under the door handles lighting the ground)?

Yes, LED license plate illumination. Yes, LED puddle lights (really bright). Let me try to get a quick shot of both... iPhone, as I am too lazy to take out the DSLR and tripod.

I don't know how I feel about it , It does give that old school look, but I do like other colors

This car does have the lane departure warning, etc. Those cars have an LCD in place of the MPG gauge.

I wish the instrument was more orange like the E46

Nice to see the return of both the instantaneous MPG as well as the temperature gauge on the dash. Layout is similar to the E46.

Damn that's pretty (except for the poor impression of BMW orange from the multicolor panel, as you noted).
Is it a black-panel display when switched off, like the F10?

Are the lights on the window part of a package or standard equipment ?

Dash during the day. Non-nav, so the stock instrument cluster (IC).
