Chevron diesel
I noticed a few members post that they only purchase Chevron diesel. Is it because they have a higher rated formula? I have a Chevron around me but I usually pass it to get Exxon diesel. Here in Louisiana most stations don't post diesel rating numbers on the pumps. Thanks for any comments.

*IMO* any major brand diesel should work just fine . . . key is to use large volume station, with good housekeeping (check the bathrooms!) and preferably a newly refurbished station - good chance the underground tanks were replaced.

I mostly purchase Fred Meyer diesel. Sometimes Safeway. Haven't seen any issues in 5K miles.
Never purchased Chevron or Shell - way more expensive than the first two. |

There is a discussion over on the diesel forum on Chevron diesel that you might find interesting

I use the GasBuddy app. Its free and pretty reliable and accurate, as people update prices every few hours.
