I found something interesting (to me anyway). This may be the norm, but I've never had a car with blind spot monitoring, so I found it interesting that it doesn't kick in until about 30 mph. Why??? I can think of lots of times that I've almost changed lanes onto someone at speeds lower than 30!

From the manual (page 101): Two radar sensors below the rear bumper monitor the area behind and next to the vehicle at speeds above approx. 30 mph/50 km/h.

Is there one for the 320i?

It's an annoyance thing. Otherwise it'd buzz your steering wheel randomly as you signal for turns at a traffic light, etc, not to mention if you're going 0 and the guy next to you is going 30 or 45, he's going to come in and then go out of range of your sensors in a split second. The blind spot assist is not advanced enough to serve as a replacement for you looking in such environments. It was only meant for low risk lane changes on the highway.
