Key and Seat Programming

How do I program my key, so that if I use Key 1 and another person uses Key 2, that when I get into the car, the seat is automatically adjusted to my seat position stored as Memory 1? Thanks!

BMW driver profile eliminates confusion with specific program KEY for each user. With a fleet, specific car key would be a problem, USB user profile is smart choice for multi user.

Driver profile saves via glove box USB. Three user profiles available. Save your personal profile to first blank USER PROFILE and then change the other profiles to other drivers.

The driver profile function is a basic multi button process, check the owner's manual.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe you can select different user profiles that have been saved by use of the key as you walk up to the car, as you would have to get into the car and then select from same from the display. Isn't there a way I can associate a certain seat / steering wheel / mirror configuration with a key, so when I use the key to unlock the car, the seat / steering wheel / mirror positions all change before I get into the car? Thanks for your prompt reply!

Before I begin, please note I'm very concerned with the potential to lose my seat/wheel/mirror adjustments, radio presets and other vehicle settings, BUT THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS:

There are two drivers with two keys with both Memory 1 and Memory 2 for the driver's seat programmed. HOW DO I program the car so that when I use my key to unlock the car, Memory 1 for the driver's seat is pulled up, while when the other key is used to unlock the car, Memory 2 for the driver's seat is pulled up!?

Otherwise, why is "Parked-Car Ventilation" greyed-out and I'm not able to select from same? What does the feature do anyway; the car can turn on its HVAC fans at a preset time (i.e.: for morning and evening commutes at 8:30 AM and 5:30 AM, respectively)?

Please advise.

Thanks!

You can only select Parked-Car Ventilation when Engine is OFF and Ignition ON.

I believe momory one correspnds to key one and memory two corresponds to key two. A little trial and error should show you which key is which. Save profile to USB lets you save settings to a USB thumbdrive and transfer them to say another vehicle or if the battery is disconnected you can restore the settings from the thumbdrive. You dont have to save your profile to the key as it happens automatically.

Thanks, but I don't believe so, as I use Key 1, another driver uses Key 2 and Memory 1 and Memory 2 are the same (remained programmed) whether Key 1 or Key 2 are used. Also, when I use Key 1 to enter the car after Key 2 and Memory 2 had been used and selected, the seat does not automatically move to the Memory 1 position when I unlock and enter the car...

Well that is certainly strange. Both my 750 and X5 work as I described. Maybe someone else has an idea?

Have you tried pressing the unlock button on the key fob to enter the car? I think that is what it takes to let the car know which setting to use.

when you set the seats and mirrors with key 1 those settings are locked to key 1
take key 1 away from the car, get in the car with key 2 and let that driver set the seats and mirror to their liking.
when you walk up and open the car with key 1 the seats and mirror go to those settings
when you walk up and open the car with key 2 the seats and mirrors go to those settings
