K Bus Issues Common?

I did a quick search, but nothing related to MINIs and K Bus.

A friend of mine has been having issues with his car; air bag light, non-functioning lights, stalling etc. MINI Corporate has indicated issue is the "K Bus" module and related it to the radio. Since it is based on the radio, it is not covered under the MINI extended warranty.

It is an '06 with under 100k miles and always dealer serviced.

I am an e30 guy, so this module stuff is new to me
