Ultima Paint Guard on new BMW wheels

While the wheels are new I thought I'd get a coat of sealant on them.
So I cleaned with alcohol (20%) and then spritzed the wheel with Ultima Paint Guard and worked it in with the small 3 finger mitts sold here. They really "froth" up the sealant and get it into all the nooks and crannies. The dry backside of mitt was used to level it, and finally a single light MF pass to level again. Again, no buffing. walk away. This is easy!

Work in the sealant and let dry No buffing or getting the powder out of cracks - dries to gloss. More pics as we see how it holds up.

a month later, (1500 miles) 4 washes in between and the brake dust still just slides right off -

OK so the brake dust washes off easily, but so does mine with a polymer wax. The real question is does brake dust stick less readily so the wheels stay cleaner in between washes?

yes, there is less on the wheel but I'm not trying to "sell" any one here - you do exactly what you want to do...the advancement here is there is no buff off...and you get the polymer coating needed to keep brake dust from pitting the wheel. If you want an actual clear coat resin that will really protect - Google opti-coat 2.0.....
