Doing it right! You definitely will not have any regrets with the135...except, of course, that you didn't get the vert!

No...old and wife issues so 7 speed dual clutch tranny....

No sticks since my 330 ZHP and M3

R32 DD has dual sequential, so I'm hip with the lament.

But compared to the ZHP, if the 2012 manual for the einser is similar to the 2009 kit it's revelatory.

You have work pretty hard to miss the gateways, whereas with the ZHP it came pretty natural.

Anyway, be sure to post up pics and give us your opinion in comparison to the M3 & ZHP once you get it.

As an oh-by-the-way, I think you and I are the only founding fathers at B-fest to jump into the one series waters.

Plus, with the exception of the M3 our vehicle rap sheets are fairly similar, so it'll be nice to share notes with another B-fest old geezer.

Strange. I keep seeing this here. My wife loces manual tran because she likes the control. After 40 years of manual I'm extremely happy to have a great auto tranny.

Picked it up. Won't do the extensive review at this point but first grades. Handling A+, response/acceleration A+, Navigation database D-, having to pay extra for backup camera F, comfort A, HK system A, braking A, appearance A, BMW apps F- (the iPhone mount should be included), 7 speed tranny SICK!!

My bottom line recommendation get one, no Nav, no apps. If you want tech toys get a GS350 or other Lexus, if you want to rip up the road get 1 series.

Yes sir...the Byzanz has been gone for 3 years plus....will snap a pic this week.

Congratulations Doc! You have only scratched the surface...it's going to be a mad romance with this car...this car is full of surprise and will continue to excite...big things have small beginnings. Looking forward to pictures! +1 on your assessment regarding the nav...I bought a Garmin with lifetime map updates for my 135i.
