Finally got my 550 M Sport!

After much patience i finally found a great year end deal on probably one of the last new 2012 550 M Sports. Carbon Black with pretty much every package. Even got a great deal on tire and wheel insurance. Id recommend some nyc folks to check out some PA bmw dealerships, seems like you can get better deals there.

I thought the same on a leftover 2012 M Sport, apparently the general manager of the dealer got a ED while at a conference in Germany back in July, car got shipped back and has been sitting at the dealer and I guess couldnt be moved because of the price. I wanted to get a pre owned in the 50k-55k area but I couldnt say no to the 20% off MSRP on this new 2012.

Options include Convenience Package, Cold Weather Package, Driver Assistance Package, Luxury Seating Package, M Sport Package, Premium Sound Package, and also has Active Cruise Control and the Rear Seat Entertainment System.

Will upload pics shortly..

Wow that's the best deal I have heard nice job. I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2012 with 10,500 miles for 58,500 doesn't have rear entertainment or luxury seating or active roll otherwise everything else. They won't budge.

I was ready to pull the trigger on a used 2011-2012 550 in NJ but came across a new 2012 in PA. Couldnt pass on the deal for a new 550. I was honestly more happy with the fact that I got tire and wheel insurance for half the amount the NY/NJ dealers are raping most of us for.

How important is msport to you, there is a brand new one at Devon Hill for 68.5 as well.

I would be all over it but the extra 10k takes it way out of my budget.

58,500 is about my max. Looks like the best I can find for the dollars

Just do it and never look back. Without the flash I wouldn't even have considered the car.

Can the Dinan 2 flash be done on your own like Cobb AP? Or do you have to have an authorized Dinan dealer do it?

The out-of-state BMW dealership through which I ordered my 550 is an authorized Dinan dealer, so they could flash Dinan 2 onto my car when it arrives (in Feb). But the two BMW dealerships in my area that would perform service on my vehicle are not authorized Dinan dealers.

I do have a authorized Dinan dealer in my area, but they are not a BMW dealership.

Would I have to remove Dinan before taking my car in for servicing?

Or could I leave Dinan installed, the BMW dealership services it, and they flash it for some reason, and then I just head over to the local authorized Dinan dealer to have them flash it back on?

What about problems that could arguably be blamed on either BMW or Dinan? How do those get resolved if the two BMW dealerships in my area are not authorized Dinan dealers?

I would like to understand these details before I commit to Dinan 2.

Get the Dinan, completely different car. I would say the only advantage to a BMW/Dinan dealership is if they update your F10 code you might lose Dinan. Then you need it reflashed and an independent shop my charge $100 or something for the reinstall. Pretty sure you could get them to agree to a reinstall if you negotiate. Some it seems will do it or free anyway.

I was also worried about warranty but my dealer has no issues and isn't a Dinan dealer

Also, can Dinan Stage 2 be sold used separately from the vehicle? Or is it married to the vehicle for life?
