Brake sensors

Is it mandatory to replace the brake sensor when changing the brake pads and if so how do i in stall the brake sensors?

If you want the code to clear it is. Theyre very cheap. I paid $15 each. There is a notch on each brake pad. You clip the sensor into the pad. When you take the old brakes off you'll see the worn down sensor clipped onto the worn down pad. Look in the DIY section and there should be a write up on how to do it with great detail.

To replace them search for the DIY or just follow the line and place the new one the exact same way. Its super easy to do.

In some cases you can reset the maintenance reminder with the old sensor. If you cant then you will need to buy a new one. In my experience these sensors were never accurate anyway.
