+1 Excellent job. I like it, hard to tell but it looks like the back end is slightly less 'droopy' than before, a feature I thought was better rendered on the E46 wagons than the E91.

Looks like a good possibility it will be on our horizon when we replace our 2007 E91 in a few years.

Nice!

(Although at this stage of development, I wonder if it wouldn't attract less attention if they removed the camo.)

...I'm not a wagon guy...no matter how you dress it up...you have a station wagon. BMW agrees, otherwise they wouldn't be pushing 'Sport' in wagon so hard.

Although, I suppose it's a compromise for the individual that wants the versatility without stepping up to a X vehicle.

Either way I understand there's a market for it, and BMW does it better...Clark Griswald was ahead of his time...

LOL! The Griswolds have been on TV the last couple nights. Both times I flipped to it, they were showing the station wagon scene with Christy Brinkley driving by in the Ferrari.

Anyhow, I'll second that 335d M Sport 6 speed!!

My favorite car salesman movie line of all time is when Eugene Levy says refering to the Wagon Queen Family Truckster:
"You think you hate it now, just wait til you drive it."

Why would anyone buy one of these? I get it if your last name is Griswald, but...

I am waiting for the new touring 3 to arrive in the US. Does anyone know where the US bound cars will be assembled?

Thanks

Thanks, LMC.

Some of the others on this thread clearly don't have a 75 Lb dog that goes everywhere with them.

I had a 1978 320i. I kept it for 14 years and 198,000mi. Even at the very end, when I was sitting on a blanket on bare springs because all the seat stuffing had fallen out as dust, it remained the most fun car to drive that I have ever had. I'm very anxious for the new model to arrive.

I was wondering about the assembly point because I believe some are assembled in Mexico.

I hear you...although a couple of nay-sayers above think you should buy a BMW SUV -- thereby giving up a bit of handling prowess, paying a bit more, using a bit more gas, etc.

U.S.-market 3ers come from Germany except for some sedans, which are South Africa-assembled. I don't know about the Mexican market but there are a number of locations worldwide where there is local assembly of components for the local market.
