7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

i would love for all the doors to open with one click of the remote, instead of two.

the dealer wants $150 for just that...

It takes 5 minutes to do it. No need for appoiment. He is there from 8 to 6 mon to fri. And sat 8 to 3. Just walk in and he will do it. His name is Adrian. You could call him before just to make sure he's there.

Damn, wish I was closer than 8 hours away. For $25 it would be nice to have remote close of trunk and remote window up.

guys seems knowledgeable about this, but is giving me a run-around on it. He said "you need a software" and I said okay, what like INPA, SSS, Progman? I even offered to pay him to tell a shop here how to do it or even the dealer! He's like no, send me modules and then starts rambling on why another shop can't do it. Then he says I'll call you back in 1.5 hr, and I said that's fine. 2 days and 2 voice mails later, no contact...

Fun... Apparently you have to be in a big city to get something done mail your car to get it done...

If you think about it, he really doesn't know you from a competitor and it sounds like he doesn't want to give away his secrets. Can't really fault him for that though, can you?

I'd like to get the windows up and the trunk close features mentioned here. There is also one feature I want but haven't seen listed here but suspect that it is possible and that UNLOCKS ALL the doors when the car is turned OFF. The "double pull" that is necessary kinda baffles me. Having to push a button on the center console to unlock the rear doors seems....odd, at best.

True, but I even offered to send in the modules and he said nevermind then! Either way looks like I'm going to have to figure this out here with a shop or drive to NY or leave it the way it is. And I agree with the double pull, seems stupid esp when you can program the doors to lock, you should be able to get them to unlock as well!

Seems like with all the fancy gizmos we have the driver should be able to program this at his whim. Was able to do so on my last Chevy Tahoe in the driver's option center.

I almost 110% sure that is what he is using . You can
read about it on BIMMERFEST forums in the diagnostic
software topic's . Also add NCS to that list .
