Which Leather Cleaner really works?

I have beige leather seats in the X3 which appears dirty since I wear a lot of black.

The Leatherique combo has worked great for me.

Excels at safely removing dirt and making leather supple.

Personally, I use the Pristine Clean Leather cleaner and just apply some Lexol leather conditioner to the seats; the pristine clean oil is a bit cumbersome to use and should be used on pretty mal-treated seats from what i've seen.

I use dubin to clean and protect. Sound to me like you may need somthing stronger though. Only advise from what I have read/me is to sniff the product you intend to use/buy. If it smells of petrol/oil byproduct choose another cleaner. Would you wash in petrol? Your seats will hate it too. Books on detailing I've read suggest starting with somthing really mild you think might not work and your way to stonger stuff.

I use a product a door to door sales person had sold me a few years ago. It's called Leather CPR. It works wonders for keeping my leather couch clean and did a good number on cleaning my BMW's seats. There's paint and deep stains that don't come out of the leather with this stuff though. I use the sponge that came with the kit(uniform applicator sponge, not dish sponge). My leather's pretty worn 11 years in a car with no window tint and the desert sun does a lot of damage. The seats should feal like the inside of the rear armrest, but instead is sorta chapped in places and is semi stiff. The Leather CPR did restore some of the suppleness. It works better on my couches though.

This sounds like dye transfer from clothing-

Leather Master Leather Dye Transfer Cleaner - (A-Aniline / Non-Coated) (P-Protected / Coated) dye transfer is a specialized cleaner and stain remover designed to eliminate colour and dye transfers on light types leathers. Use for the removal of blue jean transfer, newspaper print and deep stains like mustard on protected finished leathers. This product works, even when nothing else will. Often on light-colour leathers, it appears that the colour is coming off the leather because you can only see the surface. What has actually happened is a transfer of a lighter colour to the leather's surface from blue jeans and/or newspaper print.

If the dye has permeated then the finish should be softened to help release the dye (Leather Master Soft Touch) Using a strong solvent on leather that has a stain or dye transfer will do two things; cause the dye to ‘bleed’ further into the surface making it even more difficult to remove, and it may damage the finish requiring replacement.

I personally like Leatherique to be one of the best I've used to include Leather Masters product. That said both of these would be very good choices used on a regular bases.

Leatherique has a great reputation but isn't it overkill for a car that is less than 2 years old? I personally like the Zaino products for routine maintenance.

There are lots of leather cleaners available but if your clothes are bleeding onto your seats you should be checking your clothes. This is not a good situation.
