X3 2004 Windshield washer pump? Where to find top pump
I just bought this pump.

It is different than the one on the top of the reservoir tank. (Main One for windshield). It seems to be one of the lower 2 for the headlights. Where can i find or how do i replace the top pump?

You have the correct one there for front or rear washers, according to BMW part nos.

For X3s w/o headlight washers, the windshield and rear pumps are near the base of the tank.

I had to replace both of mine that were on the bottom because they were leaking. I bought mine from amazon for like 20$ each, all is well now.

Sorry, I should have been more clear.
I bought the pump,and removed the pump from the car, but they are different. The intake piece is quite smaller on the one i just bought, so I am looking for the pump that is a true swap for the top pump. Store? Website? Real part number? I can't seem to locate it on the web.

The one i bought seems to be a replacement for the 2 bottom pumps, not the top.

Yes, the one you bought is for either of the 2 bottom pumps (windshield or rear window).

If you know the headlight pump needs replacing, choices are likely more limited.
Key in your model info. on the bavauto site and you will see it is a genuine BMW item only at around $68.

I replaced both of my grommets with strainers and pumps in about 20 minutes. I bought all the parts from AMAZON.

As I stated before in quite a few posts about the pumps, be careful when you order, the electrical connectors come in two types, round and flat. Look at the one you have on your pump. good luck
