Mein Auto: '96 328is
Step 1: Find low mileage cluster
Step 2: Advertise as low mileage
Step 3: Sell E36
Step 4: Buy less-jank e36
Step 5: Profit???


But for real, I had a buddies e36 cluster that did almost the exact same thing, he'd be driving and needles would die, but lights stayed on. It's not a matter of it loosing power, but possibly just the needles. Replaced the cluster and worked fine.

Sama, its def the cluster. Both my e36's have had that problem. Just try to find a cluster that is pretty close to the mileage and note the differrence for if you ever sell it...
