Not sure what you're looking for...

The stock Owner's Manuals can be found at BMWNA: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Owner/dgh.aspx. Just pick your year and model.

I'm looking for more of a service manual than an Owner's manual. So, I was hoping a Technical Service Manual shows have to disassemble and repair parts of the car (brakes, dash, etc, etc), not how the features (idrive, window controls, etc) work.

I understand BMW may issue DVDs for their dealer techs and not manuals anymore...I'm lookng for anything like that - manuals or DVDs, whatever's possible. I heard it may still be possible to find this info, but you need to know where to look.

In the past, if people couldn't get the more accurate manufacturer-issued manuals, they sometimes relied on Haynes, etc. Any help would be appreciated !!

Thanks,
Adam

Do we really get these kind of service manuals? If we do, it would be really helpful for DIY guys..

E70 Service Manual

Still hoping someone can help with ideas on how to get a technical service manual (or DVD), but in the meantime, found this link to many, many DYI topics with instructions and photos but maybe an older X5 platform......

Smile Service Manual Question

I found a download for the X5 at Tradebit.com

It's not specific to the 2010 3.5d, but was the best I could find. It was about $20 and very detailed for most things. When on th Tradebit site, search for "BMW X5 2007-2010 Repair Service Manual". I'd rate it at 7/10, but there's nothing else out there, so I guess it's a 10!

Sorry for the delay in responding. Did just quickly check out the tradebit site this morning and there seems to be 3 sources there. will look more closely as to which is best....

Any real BMW workshop manual out there for the BMX X5 E70 ?

I'd be particularly curious to see the official list of tricks like the transmission reset for instance
