My new wheel pics, all sexed
I posted these right after I took them in the pics thread, but since it's always dark and cold when I'm off work, I edited the crap out of them instead of washing the car again and taking more pics, so I figured I'd **** it up a little with my own thread.
Immediate next projects: -VANOS seats and rattle kit on order, installing next weekend -eBay headers, weekend after (gonna wrap em too, just for the hell of it) -New guibo -Fix vent warp, head unit wiring, replace center vent and climate control (have all the stuff, just gotta do it) -Spring shims, rear is rubbing and too low for my tastes but I can't find anything to shim the spring with Stuff I'm thinking about after i get through whats on my plate: -tie rod, sway bar, front CABs -Euro wheel -fixing whatever is clunking in the rear -2007 Audi A4 Sport/Cold/Nav/6spd Late summer pre-Bimmerfest project: -Rewrap seats, wrap door panels, replace shift boots, fix a million assorted issues on the interior -Gauges Next winter: -Stroker/turbo build? After over 2.5 years I still look at it almost every time I park and can't imagine not having it. I'm excited to stop using her as a DD so I can just spend time on the little, small, cheap projects that just take time. I've been really happy with these wheels. The car rides great with the new suspension and the ride isn't too stiff with the 18s. Big thanks to Jurrian at ModBargains for putting together the order and rushing it to me so I could get them for the weekend. I think he'll be hearing from me a lot in the future. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have these in like billboard resolution if anyone wants them.

Beautiful looking car, the wheels really set it off nicely. What kind of angel eyes are you running?

Dunno to be honest. My guess would be some old school Umnitza ones. They weren't installed by me or the immediate PO, and this car has been modified for a healthy portion of it's life. The H&R races I took off had at least 40-50k on them. They aren't wired through a harness, just tapped into the parking lights. One of the small things on my list is to get a harness for them and run them to a unique switch so i can have city lights with the parking lamps.
Btw, as of this morning she has 171,000 miles.

I loved the old wheels too, though. They looked track focused, which I enjoy. These are beautiful, but in a more refined kind of way.

Hasn't been on the car for like a year and a half. I thought I was being cute, but didn't expect the backlash of every woman thinking it meant "ass please" and everybody and their brother asked me what it meant when I was getting out of my car. Some people might like the attention, but my car draws enough as it is, and for the most part when I'm getting out of my car I just want to get out of my car, so the plates had to go. They are stuck on my garage wall though.
Quote:
Thank's its a downgrade in performance, quite a considerable one really, but since 99.9% of the time I'm not on the track, I think the improvement in looks and improvement in ride quality thanks to my high treadwear grandpa tires and softer suspension is totally worth it. Quote:

Well no matter what performance you lost, you gained in sickness and sexiness

Thanks man. My dream is to have a rock solid reliable, really tight car with minimal rattles and no blown out bushings everywhere, with all the exterior and interior cosmetic issues sorted. It'll probably take 3 years but she isn't going anywhere.
My old boss has a white '89 911 with 180k on the odometer. He's had the car since '91 or '93, and put most of that mileage on himself. A few years ago, mid 2000s, he stripped down the motor, redid the interior and had it painted. Now people snuffle all around it in the showroom, glance at the odometer and go That's kind of what I'm going for. I want people to see it, then be completely blown out of the water when they see how many miles it has.
