E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135. |

2012 135 Convert
Just wondering what the experiences with the DCT 7 speed transmission have been. My wife is getting this car and there isnt a car in the area to drive with the DCT. Has there been any issues? Is it seemless in auto mode? etc...
Thanks, Brick |

Brick - you might want to ditch this thread and start a new one with a subject line having to do with DCT and not a convertible, per se. You'll probably get more attention that way. Just a thought.

I have DCT and really like it. People who know a lot more than I do say the DCT is bulletproof. It's just like a regular auto tran except you don't have to put it in park when you turn off the car, it does it for you. You can put it in manual mode or and shift yourself using paddles or sport mode with increased performance but 99.9% of the time I just use it like any other auto.
