GM 4speed Tranmissiononl slipping in 3rd
i currently am the owner of a 1998 318i, As topic states i have a problem where my trans only slips in 3rd.i did an oil and filter change using valvoline dex/merc fluid and i still have the problem, i read that these GM transmissions carry a dextron oil,the oil i used passes dextron 3 spec's. Can any1 gave advise as to what may be the problem??? (question) there are 2oil covers under this particular transmission,the large 1 which inside carries the filter and theres a smaller1 just be4 the housin,when i did the oil and filter change i only removed the larger of the two,is any1 familiar with this smaller pan? can any1 gave advise as to why im only slipping in 3rd??
