2012 Relay For Life - Chance to Win an M School + Special M School Offer

THANK YOU to all my Bimmerfest friends for helping me in my fundraising efforts last year for the American Cancer Society. With your help, the Spartanburg Relay for Life event was able to raise more than $390,000 and helped me exceed my personal goal of $2000. We had another fellow Bimmerfest member win the M School again last year . You guys are great and I'm proud to be part of your BMW family.

Cancer probably affects each and every one of us in some shape or form. I have seen too many colleagues, friends and family members fight this disease and lose. I would like to put an end to this disease that has taken too much from too many.

We are forming another team this year to help support the Spartanburg community Relay For Life event. I would like to ask for your support again, if possible, for this important cause by making a secure, tax-deductible donation online using any of the links below or in my signature.

How to donate and be entered for a chance to win a One Day M School...

- Click here to visit my personal page for this year's Relay For Life event.

- For every $10 donated through my page, I will enter your name into the drawing for the M School ($10 = 1 entry, $50 = 5 entries, and so on).

- Please make sure to include at least your email or phone number in the "Personal Note" section for your donation so I can put it on your entry.

- The drawing will be held during the event on May 18th, 2012.

- The winner of this drawing will have 1 year from the date of issue to use the certificate and can choose to apply the value towards another school.

Relay For Life One Day M School @ the BMW Performance Center on June 2nd.

Here is your chance to sign up for a One Day M School that can be tax deductible. We are setting aside an M School on Saturday June 2nd in which all the proceeds for 14 seats in that school will go directly to the American Cancer Society. We will also host a special thank you reception following the event.

To sign up, call the Performance Driving School reservation number (888-345-4269) and tell them you would like to attend the Relay For Life M School on June 2nd. They will obtain the information needed to register you for the school and assist you in making an online donation directly to the American Cancer Society for the amount of the school, $1450.

Since this is a direct donation to benefit the American Cancer Society, no discounts or special offers can be used for this particular school. You will receive a receipt from the American Cancer Society for the full amount of your donation for tax purposes. This will be a great way to attend an M School and support a great cause at the same time.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again for your support .

Very proud and pleased to be the first (I think-- best I can tell, anyway) bimmerfester to donate to your exceedingly worthy cause. Hopefully I'll get a chance to shake your hand during my Performance Center re-delivery (hopefully next month) of my Euro Delivery M3.
Best of luck, I'm sure the members here will make 'ya proud again.

Thank you for your donation and support You where the first to donate! Be sure to ask one of the instructors to find me when you are here so I can personally say thanks.

Hope to see you soon for your re-delivery. I trust you had a great time in Europe with your M3. Let me know if you need anything leading up to your re-delivery.

Tlhanks again!

Would absolutely be my pleasure, needless to say. My car is on the Toronto (In NY today) and I'm hoping for a "smooth sail" through customs and VPC, etc, in Brunswick to get down there as soon as humanly possible. The wait is so excruciating, I'm actually taking a vacation next week just to kill off the final days/weeks!

Yeah.. you can safely say that I did! An amazing, amazing, amazing adventure. Can't help but do this: ()

Best of luck with the fund-raising-- such a worthy cause and very glad to see any additional visibility something like this gives.

Nice picture! I've always thought it would be pretty cool to travel and see Europe in your own BMW.

Thanks for your support I'm glad to help anytime I can and am very greatful for the help and support that has been shown from members on this forum over the years in my fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society.

Thanks for the heads up on mistyped year. Maybe by next month I can fully move into 2012. I've corrected it.

My doctor friend just gave a donation. I'm pretty sure it's part of his on-going efforts to influence me to bring him along to my PCD, but seeing as he's a doctor, there's always a chance that his heart was in the right place as well.

Good luck with the event.

I'd like to give this thread a bump. I've learned a great deal about
PCD from Jonathan's postings to this group (I'm having my first PCD
next week). He always answers patiently and helpfully, and I've read
that this is done on his own time and not as part of his job. That's
going above and beyond. So let's give a little something back!
Who will join me in making a donation?

Thanks It's a great cause and I'm just glad to play a part in helping them raise funds for research and to assist those battling cancer.

FYI... odds for the M School drawing right now are still great (1 in 190 for each ticket sold as of today)! I had a local business owner/friend buy in as a sponsor for the event and donate $2,000. The amount currently shown on my participant page reflects his sponsorship donation plus all the donations for the M School drawing.

Thanks again for everyone's support

Thanks again for your donations and support for the American Cancer Society (ACS). With your help, I was able to raise more than $4,000 this year . ACS will be able to use this money for cancer research and to assist those that are battling it. It was a great event with a very large turn out. Overall, this Spartanburg SC event raised more than $392,000 for ACS .

I'm also glad to announce that this years winner for the One Day M School drawing was another Bimmerfest member! Congratulations to Robert Netzer "Z4suprise"! I look forward to meeting you again when you come back for the M School.

Thanks again for all your support. Hopefully we will be able to see a cure for this disease within our lifetime. This is a great BMW family in which I'm glad to be a part.

Thank you I'll definetely have another M School up for grabs next year.

I might have some other items of iterest to raffle off for the American Cancer Society later on this year. I'm hoping to get another helmet signed by the ALMS BMW drivers at this years Petit Le Mans. If so, I'll post a thread on Bimmerfest to announce it.

Is it going to be a auction or Lottery?

Haven't decided... Last time we auctioned one off on ebay for United Way. Lottery may give more people a chance at it, so I'm leaning more toward that route.
