Google Traffic & Bluetooth (2 questions)

1. Is it possible to get Google Traffic through the nav using an iPhone with BMW Apps? The RTTI service in my area is highly unreliable and does not include surface streets.

2. Separately, what is the difference between Enhanced Bluetooth and standard Bluetooth? Is two-way handfree calling with voice recognition included with standard Bluetooth?

F30 has: Remote Horn and Remote Flash Headlights available, in addition to Remote Door Lock & Unlock, Google Local Search, and Vehicle Position.

Yes, standard BT is handsfree phone mode. Note sure if there is voice dialing or voice command "answer", "call", etc.
Enhanced BT includes A2DP for streaming stereo audio over BT.

Ok, on our 2011 E92 I can do streaming audio via BT from my Android phone, does this mean that I have enhanced BT? Or is this something more with the F30?

RTTI in my 2007 5 series with iDrive 2 is utterly worthless. The 405 can be a wall of cars and RTTI won't show anything.

Has RTTI evolved?

Probably. AFAIK, the capability came in with the enhanced combox starting in Sept 2010.

Note sure what option code it was for your car, but this rplaced 6NL and 639, as indicated.
In F30, it is option 6NL, bundled with BMW Assist for $650. That price includes 4 years subscription to the safety services.

I brlieve it has a lot to do with the area your in, where I live in central NJ its great.
