Positive cable battery terminal corroded

Good day to all bimmerfest members. I'm having a slight problem here. My 95m3 positive battery terminal was corroded so bad. I put baking soda w/water & I still couldn't take it out. My next choice is to pour some Pepsi on the battery terminal. That thing so so stuck when I move the red cable, the contact between the terminal & battery connector will detached if I really force it to.

I've been reading & researching on ways to remove the battery terminal. The negative side was real easy to remove. I'm kinda looking at the worst case scenario. How easy/hard/challenging to replace the whole positive cable? I've been looking for a diy on this but no luck & the way my battery terminal looks can somebody tell me how bad is it (although I kinda cleaned it) pics are on my reply post

Thats pretty bad but nothing ridiculous. I would get a new battery and clean up that cable with a soft metal wire brush. Every time i see battery acid all over any battery, I replace it ASAP. Denatured alcohol will clean pretty much anything, if you even need it after a wire brush. Then you should wrap some electrical tape around that exposed bit of wire by the end just to be safe. I would anyways. Good luck.
