Cylinder order on a 323 ic
Can anyone tell me the cylinder order on a 1999 323ic? It threw a P0306 code (misfire cylinder 6) yesterday and I need to know which cylinder is #6. I guess I'll start with the spark plugs and go from there. I see most people on here recomend NGK BKR6E-N-11 for spark plugs does that sound correct? Then I'll go onto the coil pack if necessay.
We just fixed a P0125 code by changing the T-Stat and now this pops up. Does it ever end??? ![]() Thanks |

The cylinder closest to the firewall is #6.

"Most of us around here feel that the NGK BKR6EK plugs are the best for these engines." -ZeGerman
And these cars are anywhere from 14-20 years old. So it ends when you get it all properly sorted out. Most of the time you are just cleaning up the lack of maintenance from your previous owner(s). So prepare for cooling system refreshes, suspension refreshes, etc. It happens. E36's are rewarding cars but they make you earn it, kinda like a cat.

Post#3, but above the picture of the plugs he inserted. He also reinforces it in post#8
#8 08-24-2012, 12:49 PM ZeGerman Just get the NGK BKR6EK plugs and be done with it. They're arguably the best plugs you can get for E36s, and fortunately, they're also very affordable.

I see. Firewall not letting picture show. I got what I wanted, anyway. YOU are the author, not Karl.
