Eisenmann (race) slip-on or Akrapovic Slip on?
I know this topic has been beat to HELL but I need some help. I have a 2011 E92 and I'm ready to mod the exhaust. I have heard various sound clips on youtube of each one and its tough to make the decision based off that alone. I have narrowed it down to the two brands mentioned above but I would like some feedback from owners. I like the louder/exotic sound of the Eisenmann race but I really appreciate the build quality of the Akrapovic. I am a bit worried that by choosing the Akra, I am not going to even notice the fact that I have a modded exhaust and it would be nothing more than aesthetically pleasing. I am in the 3-4k price range and I plan on having the systems thermocoated black to go with a jet black exterior. I don't want to get into full exhausts because im going to install myself and im comfortable with the slip on install. What would you choose and why? Thanks in advance.

Few Suggestions:
1. Try to hear the exhaust in person. Video clips are hard to judge - based upon different camera's recording levels, cars at load vs rev while parked. Everyone has a different tolerance for drone. 2. These two systems at opposite ends of the spectrum. The Akra is deep at startup and pretty civilized around town. The Race is LOUD. You will know you car is modded. Some people switch to the Eisenmann Sport after having the race because the noise get's old as a daily driver. 3. Akra is a little nicer in build quality but Eisnemman is hard to beat, custom crafted in Germany. Eisenman already makes the exhaust in all black so that will be one less step for you. You will need connecting pipes with the Eisenmann if you don't want to cut the factory pipes. Here is a DB comparison between the Race & Sport. SPORT-Version: moving vehicle = 75 db stationary vehicle = 92 db at 6.225 1/min 25% flow improvement over stock weight of the muffler = apr. 21 kg RACE-Version: moving vehicle = apr. 95 db stationary vehicle = apr. 102 db at 6.225 1/min 32% flow improvement over stock weight of the muffler = apr. 21 kg It's an expensive decision and I've been where you are and you want to make the right choice the first time. Another option is for Eisenmann Sport & later do an X-Pipe if you want more volume. I've had the Eisenmann Race on my 535 and loved the quality and sound. I went Dinan this time already comes with powder coated black tips and $1,000 less. If I had to do it again I would do OEM exhaust Mod (search for it) and paint the factory system costs approx $500. Here is a clip of my car just to make you even more confused. Dwayne

Thanks Dwayne. I'm thinking about getting the Eisenmann Race at this point. Are you sure I need to purchase the connecting pipes ($500) or can the slip on just connect to the existing stock pipes? If that's the case then price wise im right around even with the price of the Akra.

No problem. You do not have to buy the connecting pipes but you will have to cut the stock pipes. Just less work with the connecting pipes but not a big deal.

Eisenmann race +1 I have had both sport and race eisenmann among tons of other exhaust set ups (for different cars) and eisenmann race is definitely one of the best options on the market!

Nice M stripes in front of the rear wheels. Classy. Are they from a kit?

Thanks! They are vinyl, each color is separate so it was a lil tricky putting them on.
