Installing Dina CAI requires cutting front fender brace?
I have a 2009 135i convertible and I'm trying to install a Dinan CAI. In order for the intake tube to line up with the air box in azimuth, I was told by Dinan that I had to cut the ~ 1 inch diameter black fender brace. My brace is one piece and goes across the entire front of the car (driver side fender-chassis rail-bottom of radiator-other chassis rail-passenger side fender). Has anyone else had to cut this brace just outboard of driver side chassis rail and unbolt at driver fender? I'm very nervous about cutting what looks to be a substaintual brace. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
