Had some fun tonight.

I was heading too town on our local 4 lane split highway when lo and behold my freind in his Dodge SRT4 comes into view. So I sped up to catch him. We were both cruising at about 65. He honked the horn and I downshifted to third and took off. It was over from the start. By a certain nondisclosed speed he was 2 cars behind me.

He was all stock. In a dead stop drag. Im sure he would beat me. No there werent other cars/people that we put in harms way. And yes it was stupid but oh so fun and reminded me of how much I love my girl.

On a 4-lane highway, at 65mph? Yeah, right.

Are you saying you beat a 250hp car that weighs 300 lbs. less in your 325? I find that to be a stretch. My guess is he wasn't on the boost when he took off.

It's a neon with a body kit. Don't let all the hype fool you.

What else did you beat? A cyclist?

I beat cyclists all the time....

Sometimes with a bat, sometimes my hands, sometimes a tire iron. Just whatever I can get my hands on. I hate cyclists.

I ran a modded srt-4 of my buddys and I pulled on him by a nose with my s50 and 2.93 gears....if it was even a stock srt-4 you would be toast if he was actually on it. sorry to burst your bubble.

He may not have been full on it, but im not driving around in a bone stock 325. The weight difference is alot less than 300. Ive stripped the interior, got rid of the sunroof, trunk is bare metal, front bumper has been drilled out and the trunk lid shaved down to one layer of sheet metal.

Yea dude, Jesse is right Srt-4s are a beast modded or not, the turbo probably lagged when he hit the throttle to quick....

And on top of that if you guys were going 65mph it's most likely 3rd-4th gear, you downshifted he probably didn't...

Not trying to say anything against your car but we only heard your side of the story

It's like racing a handicapped kid, though. You win, you look bad for beating him. You lose, you look really bad for losing to a handicapped kid.

It's a Neon!

Looks aside, though, they're good cars. Take a look at Nurburgring times and the SRT-4 is on there pretty high.

Sorry man I'm not trying to start anything. I'm just saying its kind of hard to believe and seeing the other posts are in line with mine it seems others have similar opinions. Ask him to race you again some time just to double check!
