Lock and light issus

Ok, im new to this site, im not sure if i made this thread in the right place but i need some help figuring out what the hell happened to my car.

Its a 1998 BMW 323is

So i brought it in to a mechanic (who is BMW certified) to replace the driver door window motor.

The window is now fixed and gose up and down, but now the door lock button in side the car dose not work, the lockes on the driver, passenger, and trunk only lock all together when i use the remote. if i want to lock the car manualy i have to put the key in each lock to lock the car. also the lights on the dash (spedomiter,RPM,heat, gas) no longer turn on. the lights on the center console do (radio, gear shift)

everything except the window worked before i took it in, i know for a fact because i drive with my doors locked. then unlock them when i get out. i also drive with my lights on.

I suggest taking it back to the mechanic that did the window motor replacement and telling him to fix what he messed up, and do it on his dime. You don't turn out work that made other problems in the process of fixing one. Sounds like a ground or grounds got left off. I don't have a clue why the dash lights quit, too, but you can bet they're all related.
