Looking to buy an m3 convertible.

Hi guys, I want to buy a used m3 vert DCT in near future. Right now I have a X6 it is a good car but not so much fun. I have some concerns about m3. I live in SoCal which means a lot of traffic.
I have heard that m3 is not so smooth in traffic. Is it true?
Comments would be appreciated
thx!

The M3 can drive like a beast or smooth as a baby's bottom. That's one of many aspects that makes it such a fantastic car. My commute is occasionally in heavy traffic and if you tune down the ///M drivelogic rocker to 1 or 2 it shifts very non aggressively with no jerking. I have the EDC suspension and set on comfort it is a WAY smoother drive than my 335i convert with runflats (i have a convertible M3 with 18" wheels). When i hit the open road I hit the M button and floor it. The car is fantastic. Makes me smile everytime I see it let alone drive it..............(i've had the car for a year now)
(one bad aspect of alot of traffic is gas consumption. It sucks gas and doesn't have a large tank. I average about 17mpg and drive very aggressive about half of the time)

DCT is essentially like it is named when put in auto - an automatic. It is not like the previous versions of SMG which tended to be jerky when used in traffic. The car can be adapted to driving conditions and at its worse is a firm ride with smooth shifts.

+1
great car to drive it as a commute or aggressively but as the above comment says, it sucks a lot of gas
