I agree, it's very competitive with what others have reported negotiating.

The invoice of my configuration is $43445 with MSRP of $46595. Please refer to Jon's post for more pricing info on the 2013 X3. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=604265

Curious about the clear bra...do they intstall it at the dealer or in Spartanburg? I can't find it on the BMW website and I'm planning on a PC delivery.

Ordered!

I ordered a 2013 28i this morning! This is only the second time I have walked out of a dealership with a smile on my face. Paid $100.00 under invoice and then added in a 598.00 dealer fee to make it $500.00 over invoice. $53,500 MSRP (fully loaded minus cold weather) and purchased for $49,000 plus tax and tag. Thanks for all the help.

Not sure where you are in Fl but if your down South go see Leo at Lauderdale Imports on US1 in Fort Lauderdale. He is a straight up guy who will get you in and out the door with no hassle. He will order you a 2013 $500 over invoice.

My 2003 325xi is getting old with 120k miles. I also needed something a little bigger and more reliable. Just ordered 2013 28i yesterday with prem, tech, both cold and conv packages. Deep sea blue with oyster leather.

I had a hard time keeping the price down, but I'm guessing the demographics are different here in Seattle. Paid about $1000 above invoice. Regardless, I'm very excited to be getting a new X3!

Which Dealer in Seattle did you go with? Did you go thru the internet sale manager?

I talked to Stanley Ng at BMW of Seattle. I just walked into the dealership as that's how I prefer to do it.

BMW site still has not been updated for the 2013 X3. C'mon!

pff, the Canadian site still has inaccurate information about the 2012 models. Why would BMW care? People still buy their cars.

I sent BMWUSA an email asking when the website would be updated, and they actually replied that they had "no information" on the 2013 X3. I ordered one 2 weeks ago. Unbelievable.

I got a very similar response regarding a question I contacted bmw.ca about.

I suppose they are trying to uphold the BMW attitude 'people' expect of 'em.

I have always found them to be totally clueless nor have I ever understood what it is they are supposed to do. I have called them 3 or 4 times and they have never been helpful, knowledgeable or provided any useful assistance. They almost sound as if they are a third party service with NO information on BMW. Next time I might try asking them "what is a BMW" and see what response I get.

Mein Auto: 2013 X3 28i
Hi,

I plan to buy the first BMW of my life. Was deciding between new 328 and 2013 X3. Leaning toward to X3 as I am driving a Honda CR-V. By reading this thread, I have seen people paying $500-1000 over invoice price. Since 2013 X3 is new, dealers probably do not want to discount much. Two questions:

1. How much over invoice price is "good price", "reasonable" and "paying too much", when 2013 X3 just started production?

2. Would I have more bargain power if I buy more packages and options?

Thank you very much for your opinion.

I too am going from a CRV to an X3, supposedly going into production this coming week. From what I have read and researched, MSRP minus 7% is a good starting place for invoice after you select your options. Work with a few dealerships and you should get close to this, I got about invoice +700. Don't pay the prep fee! Good luck

Just got word from my CA that production of my vehicle is delayed pending EPA and CARB approval. Hoping to have a better idea of that delay in the coming weeks. My orignal production date was supposed to be the week of 30 April.

Hi:

I am right now talking to Jon Shafer at BMW Santa Barbra who can give me X3 $500 over invoice which is pretty good since I can only get inovice+1200 in Phoenix.

maybe worth try this out?
