If we can work a ride from DCA on Friday morning to the hotel, and back to DCA Sunday shortly after noon, that flight will work. Way cheaper, too.

IF the flight from Pensacola to Baltimore would be more convenient for arranging a ride for me (no extra 1.5 hours if you're the one that gets me) I'm all for that. To be honest, it would be easier on me, too, but I can make the VPS-DCA/DCA-VPS work.

Wish I could commit a little bit earlier so you can finalize things. If I can make BFE I'll be coming up I-95 and going by DCA and BWI. Regardless, if you fly into DCA I believe there's a shuttle bus from DCA to BWI for about $10. Might have to take a leg of the Metro to get to the bus departure point but it's a pretty easy trip.
Makes it easier for anyone else if I can't be your ride....

Unfortunately guaranteeing a ride is the one thing I cannot do. The closer we get and the more 80 hour weeks I'm scheduled the less likely it is that I'll be on 4 wheels. Looking like two wheels for me this year...

Okay you crazy kids...it's offical. Ken is coming to BF.e. Plane ticket is booked. We only need another $100 in donations to cover his trip. (This calculation includes me kicking in $100). C'mon..you know you wanna see him. Hmm, maybe we should sell tickets at the 'fest. 'Come see the resident e36 Geezer'. Tacos an extra $5. Maybe we could get a snake charmer to sweeten the deal!

Given the length of the line just to get a $5 rotdog at last year's BFE we could probably pay for all our trips selling $5 tacos......

Can't tell if Franklyn donated $25, or volunteered Dino to donate another $25

Donated.

Ok , so since the actual BFE thread isn't on the first page I'll ask here. Any rec's on where to stay? I have done like 0 planning for this other than I'll be driving up Friday afternoon with a decent sized caravan of people from my area, and I'll be heading back Sunday. I may or may not have the girl with me. If so she would probably only be with me for the show and maybe if we went out or something (this weekend is for ME ). I would just need a hotel with a pool to keep her occupied.

So where's everyone staying? Hopefully everyone's in relatively the same place.

The Super 8 and the Hilton share the same parking lot, and the majority of us are staying in one of the two. The cheap bastards (such as myself) are staying at the Super 8 since it's a 1/3 of the price.

This is the tally I've got so far:

Ken and Ed - Red Roof Inn
CJ, Dino, Joe - Super 8
Don (DC) - HI Express
Jen, Franklyn - Hilton Garden Inn

Feel free to correct or update!

All 4 hotels are within site line of each other.

Price on the Red Roof Inn & Super 8 are within a few dollars of each other.
