Cool switch rims

I have a 97 328i that I put chrome 18" rims with 225/40 18 on it. I just purchased a 98 528i with 17" rims. I don't know much about cars. Would I be able to switch the rims from 328i and put them on the 528i and vise-versa?

No you cannot. E39 has a different center hub size and the offsets are different.

No. Hub sizes are different, not swappable.

BTW, you need more than the rim; you need the entire wheel.

Thanks for the help. If I were to buy 18" rims, what do I all need to know? You mentioned hub size and offset. Could you give me a little more info, so I know what to search for. Also, would you recommend 18" or 19" wheels? I want it to look real nice, but still have a smooth ride.

You'll learn a lot more buy searching the forum for similar threads than trying to create a new one about wheel size, hub and offset. There are tons.
