Driving Noise - 1997 BMW 540i

My car makes this constant noise when I drive on the highway or over 40 MPG with my windows closed, Its sound like a loud road noise but I never had it before.
The tires are great Brigstone Potenze RE-04. Does anyone know what it can be?

Thank you
Alex

40 MPG?

We have no idea. The best we can do is to speculate based on an uploaded audio file.

Rotate the tires to see if it has an affect.

While it could be a lot of non-tire related things, I have test driven cars withBridgestone Potenzas and noticed considerably more road noise compared to other tires -- and I saw that reported on Tire rack as well. The Pole Positions were top notch however.

Is it since you put the tires on?

Bridgestone tires are known to be harder and thus louder. They runflat by any chance?

Thanks for replaying
I noticed that after I put a set of SUMMUTOR tires. Then I thought it was the cheap tires and sent it back to Tire Rack fro a replacement. I got the s-04 Pole positions now but the noise remains.

"The 40 MPG" I meant the speed 40 MPh

I have a road test scheduled with a mechanic on July 2dn. I only owned the car for few month and never had BMW before but I am sure the guys at the shop will be able to tell what is

Thanks
Alex
