Spring To Do List

I have been following the forum for some time now and finally making my first new thread. I am getting ready to start clearing off items from the vert "To Do" list. I take the first two days of the NCAA Tourn off of work so that I won't be bothered watching the TV in the garage. Just me, the dog, TV and a well stocked man fridge for four days while my wife takes the twins to Floriday. I seem to get a lot done as you really only need to watch the last two minutes of the games. I have been reading posts all winter to come up with my list which includes the following:

-Removing the resonators from the exhaust (this will be done Tues).
-Tinting the windows (done next Wed)
-Tinting the tail/brake lights/third light
-Replacing the chrome OEM grills with carbon fiber
-Paint the calipers red, decal, and clear coat
-Remove front side reflectors
-Install aluminum pedal covers
-Spacers and new lugs all around

I am going to hold off on the actual cleaning, claying, waxing until the weather here in Cleveland finally breaks for good (which could be around August.

I am interested in what others have done with the convertible compartment lid. Although it doesn't look as bad as the attached pictures, I have tried to clean these up and after a couple of days it just doesn't as good as it should since when the car is out-the top is down. Armor All helps but you can still see a shadow of where the top sits the next day. Has anyone had this painted or have any recommendations on a special cleaner for this part?

Thanks again for all of the suggestions!

hooverdog - looks like a nice list and some good projects. I still have the resonator delete and engine clean on my list.

Regarding the oxidation stain on the vert base, there is a fix out there posted by Nick and copied shamelessly by me. See the threads below. As you've been using the armorall to shine it up, you need to make sure you do a really deep clean and remove everything in order for the Back to Black to fully take evenly, without showing small spots a little darker. Mine came out good but would have been better if I had been able to fully clean all the treatment off before application. Good luck and let the board know how it goes

Thanks Greg,

This is exactly what I was looking for. I did a search on the entire site but wasn't really sure what to call this piece to even look properly. I am also looking forward to cleaning the dust off the engine. I am going to try to use the scrubbing bubbles idea I read about here as well (but will probably experiment on the company car first).

Do the Forever Black to cover the oxidation and then maintain with 303 Aerospace Protectant (I switched years ago from Armorall - 303 is MUCH better!!!)

And Greg... stealing my thunder...
