Via Michelin vs. Google maps

Hi all, I'm curious what people find most useful and accurate for European trip planning regarding driving time etc Google Maps or Via Michelin. Just curious how people use these resources. I have found that I think the directions on the Via Michelin site are much more detailed.Thoughts?

I prefer ViaMichelin personally but sometimes Google Maps is a bit faster.

I also like the maps and hotel/restaurant lists at ViaMichelin. But Googlemaps has two advanatges:
  1. It can create a permananent link on the fly that you can paste into a post or email.
  2. (At least inside the US) Googlemaps on Macs and PCs (but not the iPad) has a "send to" option which works with the current BMW Assist. It does a good job of loading the destination into the car GPS.
Recent ED: 25 June 10, 328xiT in Red. Then headed SW to Italy & France. Flew home via Rome. Hoegh Kobe departed 22 July; unloaded at PH 17 Aug. Redelivery 11 Sept. (Re-redelivery 14 the details here.)
Previous ED: 7 June 08, X3 3.0si in rosso corsa (*), then off to Italy, Austria, Slovenia. (*Note: A61 Crimson Red north of the Alps.)
Back-up vehicle (while waiting for re-deliveries): 1999 M Roadster in Estoril Blue.

Since I have Garmin Nuvis I put Mapsource on my PCs and use it almost daily. It allows me to plot my routes on the computer than upload them to the GPS. It also links up nicely with Google Earth thus allowing me to visualize the places I'm driving to.
