Not so ! Not so !

Hearken back to post #115 in this thread, after I commented that the goat was quick-gavelled out from under me by our inebriate rumpot of an auctioneer:

I see the potential for a grudge match opening up at the auction!

The Official C2C4 Commemorative Postage Stamps Arrived

As we did last year, each participant will be presented with a 'Swag Bag" with official event stickers, refrigerator magnets and event postcards with commemortaive postage stamps that can be mailed from the post office at the summit.

Here are last year's and this year's stamps.

We're All Set

Thanks for including us. We are really looking forward to the drive. Laura and I will be at the Mt. Washington Hotel Friday and Saturday nights. Should arrive for dinner on Friday.

Hoping for 3 things:

Good weather
Better luck at the banquet auction
Some idea what this goat thing is about

In life, people make choices.
Those choices have consequences.
You chose a Porsche.
Thus, you will never understand goats.
I'm sorry, but that is the way it is.

Since it is not required (obviously) my count might be off, but the information I have is:

Friday night: 6 cars, 10 adults

To those attending Friday night: if you haven't done so (and are comfortable doing so) shoot me a message. In the message let me know how many will be in your group (e.g., two adults and one child), and your phone number (if you are comfortable doing so). As we get closer to the trip I will contact everyone with my phone number.

We plan on having dinner (probably at the hotel) and will make sure we have reservations available for us to sit together. We did this last year and it was a nice way to spend Friday night together.

Lightbulb Life's Choices

In life, people make choices.
Way back when I chose a 3.0Si (you might have to look that up)
Those choices have consequences.
More recently I chose a 2007 335i and then a 2008 335i
You chose a Porsche.
Actually it chose me, I couldn't resist!
Thus, you will never understand goats.
I'll add that to the list of things I don't understand
I'm sorry, but that is the way it is.
If you put the explaination in a sealed envelope, I'll bid on it at the auction. As I've proven, I'll bid on almost anything!

And, apparently you recognize the underside of a Porsche engine compartment. How is that?

Typical Porsche driver...assuming throwing money at a problem will solve it!

Goats cannot be understood, they can only be felt...

Am I required to reach 1000 posts (not counting this one) before the event? Is there a penalty if I do not?

Well in that case, and considering that neither of you addressed the question of penalties, leading me to believe they could be pretty severe (or at least mighty unnerving; I've been to New Hampshire many times...), I'll contribute a public-service announcement. While shopping for driving shoes this past week I learned Piloti was forced into Chapter 7 back in February. Stock is dwindling at every retailer I can find.

If you are partial to Pilotis and your feet are larger than a leprechaun's, stock up now!

(Fourteen to go. )

You have to drive at the back with an M badge set slightly askew on the trunk lid.
