It was clean until I hit the snowstorm of deer flies on the way home. Lordy!!

(I washed it today to get all that muck off. My neighbors probably think I'm as bad or worse as Kat's neighbors think she is.)

(That makes sense, I think.)

A couple of P-cars tagged along to see how they'd hold up. We found them...adequate. Many thanks to their generous owners for helping to boost the proceeds of the auction. Good to have you and your wives with us.

This was the third time for Roadmaster (White 911) and the 2nd for Iceben (Grey Cayman).

OMG, do you have a spy-cam installed in the trees at our house?
Tonight, after supper I went out to "wash the bugs off the front of the car". Well, you know good and well I couldn't stop with just the bugs. I was almost finished when Mrs. Nextdoor Neighbor drives in the drive. She calls out to me "We wondered where you were this weekend because you weren't out here washing your car."

On top of that one of the neighbors a few doors away in the cul-de-sac who has in 3 years never said a word to either of us, stopped on his walk the other day and told me he liked my car and liked how I take care of it.

For the record, those deer flies were horrendous. At least you have a good coat of wax on your car to make the removal process easier. I predict that poor 328xi rental is going to have swirlies on top of swirlies after the AVIS crew gets done de-bugifying it.

Check out my mad PShop skilz! I made two cars in the foreground disappear!

The second pic is a detail from the first, same pic, enlarged. That's what a hi-rez photo does for you.

Not sure if that was the penultimate driver's meeting though. I think we penultimated in the MWAR parking lot.

Or not.

Who knows. So many meetings, so little time.

We kept telling them they needed to move but they were a bit slow. Perhaps they were Audi drivers accidentally driving Acuras.

The picture that everybody took.

I always thought that the E39 was a big car until I saw it next to a Taurus.

An (un)-coordinated effort. Also see CaptainAudio, ?Fryed? and crew on the stairs.

That sneaky guy who parked up front.

I will, Captain. I will.

And I'll also likely be the only participant in a brand new BMW, the rest of you seemingly holding onto your aging rides a wee bit too long. That awkward 20 year period before they become thought of as 'classics' is mighty painful. Just hoping my 4 cylinders can handle the load.

OK, here's our entire ride up, compressed to 2.5 minutes. Don't blink at 1:09, or you'll miss DSX on the side of the road !

Tremendous thanks to my daughter for doing the edit. None of my software was handling the camera phone video, so she ran it through hers. Drove her crazy for a bit until she figured out the phone was using square pixels, after which things worked out nicely.

Yeah, they've bulked up a lot. Lots of room inside, but the flattened windshield view makes it oddly claustrophobic.
