CA - You inspired me

(Think Steppenwolf)

Get your Bimmer runnin'
Head out on the Bear Notch
Lookin' for some twisties
And some melodic exhaust
Yeah 'Fester go make it happen
Take the 'Vettes though it's not a race
Fire all your engines up
And keep the pace

I like clouds and blue skies
German Metal thunder
Inline six exhaust notes
And the feelin' is all wonder
Yeah 'Festers go make it happen
Take the mountain and enjoy the pace
Fire all your engines up
And join in the chase.

Annoy the other parkers
Make them drive around us
Pay them no attention
When they carry on and fuss
Like a true spoiled child
They were born, born to be riled
We can climb so high
They'll be waving us goodbye,

Probably in reference to my parking job. Especially at the McDonalds lot.

Funny thing though, THIS is what the comment was in reference to:

I guess the guy didn't like that we were parked in the driveway.
The thing is - we parked so well, in that shot, the military would be proud. Look at that nice and neat formation.

Even fewer BMW drivers will opt to buy a car like mine out of warranty and spend the necessary money to maintain it.

I did make exceptions for valet parking. Is this from the valet at "Top of the Tower," or the "Water Club?" They expect tips in advance and can be rough on your car if not "satisfied." Don't let them NEAR your 7-series.

You're very trustworthy. Does this involve "cranking" it from the front to start it..."choke" adjustments...or any other early 20th century knowledge to get it started? I would imagine that the "elitist" resorts in upstate NY would have trained their valets to handle any conceivable antique car arrival?

Actually that picture was taken at the Delamar Hotel in Greenwich Harbor, Ct. We were staying there druing the Greenwich Concours.

Here are some shots of some of the other cars that were parked there that day. I suspect they were parked by their owners and not by the valets,

Slightly off-topic but since some folks were asking about it last weekend:

Ms Submarine is now going to be Mrs. Submarine. Popped the question yesterday on a secluded beach on Block Island, RI! (She said yes)

Congratulations M! Way to go! And she said yes in spite of the kind of people you hang out with. She's a keeper for sure.
No way it's off topic, you two are a big part of CtoC and this is the place to make the announcement. Hmmmm, is a destination wedding on the agenda? I have the perfect place if you can wait until June, 2013...
