Thoughts on White/Cinnamon

Starting to get pretty serious about ordering a 550i. What do you guys think about the white/cinnamon combination? Can't find any local to look at. The car does seem to really pop in white exterior. What interior trim do you recommend with the cinnamon? Anthracite?

Our dealer BMW of South Atlanta had a GT demo 2010 in that color combo. Not a fan of white, but I think the combo was fine.

My choice as well and very happy with it, I beleive my "wood" is dark anthrite as I recall, hopefully the picture helps

No need for quotes. It is real wood.

And yes, that is Anthracite.

Cinnamon is the only way to go if you like white. Should be easy to find, it's a combo they build and ship, unlike mine. I really wanted DG on Cinnamon, but they really don't build them this way and I did not want to order.

I went with AW/Cin/Anth and I'm pretty happy with the combination.

I was all set to go with cinnamon.... until I saw it in person. Too much on the pink side for me. There is a reason car manufactures offer so many interior and exterior color options, we all have different taste.

Good advice from the forum. Best to see it in person first. I was set to go with cinnamon with a black exterior until I say the cinnamon in person. I liked it in the brochures and pictures but didn't like it in person.

My 550i is Carbon Black Metallic with cinnamon interior and anthracite trim. I always get compliments on the interior, even from people for whom a car is a "transportation device".

FWIW, I had a similar combination (Monaco Blue, saddle brown interior with walnut trim) on a 335i coupe and the car took best interior at the BMW CCA Boston Chapter Concours d'Elegance the one summer I had it.

I normally like brown interiors because it's different from the redundant and boring black interiors, but when I saw the Cinnamon Brown in person I thought it looked disgusting. I prefer the Natural Brown from the E60, Saddle Brown from the F30, or Light Saddle from the F01.

I also hated the Cinnamon interior.. too pink/red. I liked Saddle Brown on the E90 and Natural Brown on the E46. I went with Alpine white with oyster/black leather... I love the combo!!

I disagree. The Alpine White exterior with the beige interior makes for a great color combination. The beige is harder to maintain, but you can get around this, in large part, by using black all weather mats.

Color is definitely a personal choice. I like alternative interiors a lot as I have had a lot of cars over the years and it is nice to be surrounded by something uncommon.

Beige to me is a non-starter in any car, any color. It is common and boring to me. (to me, key words). I like the creme interior with black carpets and headliner much better.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. The one criticism that I have of the beige is that BMW does not "black out" the floors and lower sides of the interior with black carpet like it does with the oyster. By using the black all weather mats, you can create a similar appearance and get some needed contrast with the interior color, while also addressing the issue of keeping the interior clean. I am very happy with the beige interior with the black all weather mats. I would have probably selected saddle for the interior instead of beige, but BMW currently does not offer saddle as an interior color for the F10. I did not go with the cinamon because the color was just not appealing to me.

Very good point on blacking out the beige. I think if they did carpets, headliner, door trim and dash in black with beige I would think differently.

Here is my favorite car I have owned. I totaled it. As you can see I like uncommon colors. This car turned heads, I miss it.

I used to like white on cinnamon but I now see that cinnamon looks very grungy and depressingly dull after a while. I wish BMW would bring back auburn. It was the best. Here's my 2007 e60 with auburn leather



Having said that, I think white looks best with cream/beige interior.

The Cinnamon with black trim sets off well, but an anthracite roof liner (Sport / M-Sport Package) is a must; The standard grey roof liner gets too busy and introduces a third color.

I stubbornly refused to put snows on in the winter and thought I would just be careful and watch the forecasts. Somehow i made it through a crap load of winters with many sevens. Then after owning this one for less than a year with the summer 20's I hit a freak patch of ice on a local road on a 45 degree bend and the car did not bend with it. Went straight into a stone wall and up on it. The wall ripped the under side apart. Tranny included.

Replaced it with a black on black e66 sport and now this. I have been bored with my rides ever since that car.

I've always loved white on red, or white on black. Red if you're feeling frisky, black for the classic and traditional look.

My better half chose -alpine white, cinnamon leather, dark wood trim and anthracite liner.
No regrets by me. I did throw in whiteline tail light assemblies and new tires / rims

I just purchased a 2004 Black 745Li with tha same white interior with black rugs and wood dash..........chrome factory 19" allow rims

I haven't seen another like it!

19" chrome factory rims, White Interior with Black rugs and wood trim.

88k miles in cherry condition.

I'm having it shipped from Cali. after through inspection by independent BMW Dealer. Everything checked out 100%

I'm Psyched ... also has twin DVD entertainment in rear seats (head console) How rare is that? All factory order!
