Just picked up 2012 528i (ED)

Hi all,

Just want to introduce myself here... I just picked up my wife's 528i at the Welt last Monday. It's jet black with oyster/black interior, premium, technology, and BMW apps. It was my 3rd ED, but 1st at the Welt and I really had a great time there.

Anyway, I have a couple of questions to you F10 crowd...

1. The tires I got are Goodyear Eagle LS 2 run flat. Is this good or bad tire? I've read people complaining about Goodyear developing bubbles, but I thought those are sport package tires. Do all season Goodyears also develop bubbles?
2. Do US spec cars have different, brighter front turn signal LED? On the autobahn at night, my turn signal would light up the signs from a pretty good distance. I don't see the German cars do that.
3. I noticed there was a faint clicking noise coming from the center vent. The sound is similar to a laptop hard drive that's about to fail But I thought the hard drive is located in the trunk, so it can't be. Then I tried shutting off the fan and the sound disappeared. So it's coming from the fan, but the frequency is like once every 3-4 seconds. So it's not like the rotation of the fan causes the noise. I had my fan on the lowest speed, any higher and it would drown out the clicking noise. Any ideas?

The bad news: the LS2's are indeed the problematic tire. The good news: in 17 inch size, you shouldn't have an issue. Relax and enjoy. The clicking noise is the vents adjusting, don't worry.
