Ordered a 2012 328i- should I join BMWCCA?

So I just ordered a new 2012 328- I found this website BMWCCA. Can I join now to get cash rebate or is that not possible?

You must be a member for 1 year prior to delivery to get the rebate.

You should absolutely join. Get the rebate next time. Roundel is a very good magazine. Lots of dealers give parts discounts to members. You will also automatically join your local BMW CCA chapter. Most chapters hold at least.a few different driving events each year.

If you're going to do track days, join for sure. If you already bought, you missed the rebate as you had to sign up a year ago.

Been a member for a long time but that's just for the rebate and the track stuff. Roundel...um...kinda a fanboy magazine, little more. You shouldn't need parts for 3-4 years so that benefit is limited, plus with the online option most parts can be found online for less money.

Ok- another question: how does BMW CCA finance this rebate? Seems pricey for their annual membership.

Always wanted to ask this question -- why? Meaning, what interest does BMW have in BMWCCA? Is there ownership, stake, something?

Again, Congrats!

Back in the day when Bimmerfest first started, we used to call it the patented "BMW Silly-Ass Grin"...

I think we should bring it back...

Join the CCA. At least try it for a year. Roundel can be very entertaining... (e.g., "Bimmer" vs. "Beemer") as well as informative.

BMWCCA - I was a member back in the early 80s then forgot about it. I bought a 2005 325i in late '04 and the CA told me about the rebate. Of course I wasn't elgible and figured why join now, it'll be 3 years before I get another, I'll wait 2 years to join. Then in mid '06 there was a real deal on the Z4 so I got that and didn't get the rebate. Brilliant. So I joined. My next BMW was the '08 135i vert, they didn't offer a rebate on that one. I have since got 3 rebates of $500 each. I couldn't care less about the Roundel or anything else about BMWCCA, but the rebates make it a fabulous deal.

no interest... just a form of loyalty marketing for BMW. They figure it's worth giving you $500 or $1000 depending on the model, because as a CCA member you will be much more likely to stay with BMW.

BMWCCA is the world's largest single-marque car club. The membership actually swings a lot of weight, and it's members are also very desirable in terms of demographics. It's just good business.
