Damn, hard to find used 335i M Sports

Did a little search of BMWUSA, cars.com etc, for a 2010 or 2011 335i M Sport 6 speed. Really hard to find. And if you do find a good one they're asking like $40k.

When I bought my ZHP it was 18 months old w/ 13k miles. That's what I'd look for in a 335i.

Good luck. I had enough trouble finding a 6-speed. I think most 6-speed drivers hang on to their cars longer.

When I found my car, I was looking for a 6-speed and was lucky that it was also an M-Sport. Just keep looking try negotiating down from those prices.

Thanks - I'm not ready to buy or anything, but I remember from my ZHP search it took like a year to find the right car, so when I found it I jumped on it.

did you try a general search and get any hits from cargurus or edmunds, etc?

This is a conundrum for me. I have a custom ordered '11 335xi M-Sport that I adore. It's a lease and I will likely have under 20k miles on it when the lease is up. Thinking about buying it when the lease is up. The residual is just under $34k at that time. If there is any equity in the car at that point, it will be a tough decision! I speced out a comparable '13 335xi M-Sport and it's coming in ~$3500 more expensive than my '11. I should probably stay away from that configurator.

Used! Try finding a new one. BMW buyers have turned into a class of hamster wimps, with dysfunctional left feet...unable and unwilling to seek a clutch pedal. The search for my (new) '08 335i 6 MT sports package in SoCal took forever as NOT ONE of the many dealers here DARED to put one on the lot. Searching the ENTIRE West coast turned up nothing.

Only an order cancellation by another buyer allowed me to get into my 6 MT car. In other words, I had NO choice of color, options (it was fully loaded).

I turned it in under lease about two years ago with low miles...great condition. Considering the SoCal lazy buyer's insistence for "set-it-and-forget-it" trannies, the car's probably still sitting there (Crevier).

Found the perfect car. I think if my ZHP got totaled tomorrow I'd be on the next plane to Ohio.
