Park distance control

Can this be set automatically for every time your in the vehicle it beeps in range or do you have to hit the button every time your going forward and reverse parking or pulling into a garage to beep!

I'm not aware of any adjustments for range. Can you get it to work when your going forward into a parking spot without having gone backwards?

Im refereeing to the sensors for detecting somthing in front and behind! It beeps!
My car doesn't seem to do beep automatically unless I push the button:dunndo:

When you put the gear in reverse, it should automatically activate. You have to do it manually when going forward. This makes sense, because you sure do not want it going off in stop/go traffic.

my AMG i recalled would do front and back automatically. but then again i do not think i ever drove that truck in 405 traffic for 2 hours.

I just tried mine...I pulled up to the garage door and the front sensors did start going without touching the button. I'm not sure if this is because I have the parking assistant. It only goes off when I get very close to the object in front of the car.

Can someone elase try this that does "not" have park assist? just park distance control..does it beep for ya as well!

I don't know if it works going "forward" automatically. I don't think mine does, but I have never gone very close to test it.

It activates when you put it in reverse. From that point, it will continue to work in forward or reverse until you drive off. You can also manually activate it.

I was back n forth 842 times in one week between that car with rear shades and my silver msport! No shades. Yet premium sound and m package.

I don't have park assist and like many here stated, I get neither beeping nor iDrive PDC display when going forward without manually engaging the PDC first (it does get automatically kicked on in R). Although it'd be nice if I it turned itself on automatically when you're so close, say in the red zone, when you're really about to hit something. No such option, I presume.

You should have no regrets. They're both lovely colors. I had titanium and loved it, but the space gray is even more to my taste - especially with the cinnamon inside and the gloss black grille. I do find it very tasteful. M Sport would have been nice, but...
