E39 (1997 - 2003)
The BMW 5-Series (E39 chassis) was introduced in the United States as a 1997 model year car and lasted until the 2004 when the E60 chassis was released. The United States saw several variations including the 525i, 528i, 530i and 540i. -- View the E39 Wiki

Mein Auto: 99 528it w sport package
Question

My 1999 528it today hesitated and then the car said engine misfire and then it says engine failsafe program so help please

First, check the battery & alternator:

Blubee thanks the battery is not even a month old, drove the car this morning and no engine failsafe program showing which is great, this Sunday my mechanic will check it to see if it's throwing and codes wish me luck will post codes if the car throws any

So to update my engine failsafe i checked the battery and noticed that when I touched the positive wire it sparked and the car hesitated so I taped the positive cable with electrical tape and the car is fine now Thanks to bluebee for pointing me in the right direction
