Overhead dome lights
I purchased the LED retrofit kit from BMW to replace the interior bulbs. Of course in typical manner there are no instructions included.
How do I open up the overhead dome lights? Do I just pry them open to access? EDIT: I figured it out: A LOT OF PRYING!

Could u post me a link for the kit you used. I bought one from ECS tuning. Was able to replace all the bulbs other than the overhead main light. THe bulbs that came with the kit were too big.
I am looking for the right bulbs to fit the overhead console. I have a X5M BTW |

It's the kit listed here:
http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...22&hg=63&fg=95 Part number 63 12 2 212 788 I ordered from Schmiedmann.com: http://www.schmiedmann.com/63-12-2-2...1.aspx#1943504 Took about a week and half in terms of waiting for the backorder; then the shipping was pretty fast in 4 days (including the weekend). I found that the 4 piece kit is just useless. The 10 piece kit is okay. The overhead dome uses 5 bulbs in my vehicle (3 in the front, two in the passenger row). Then there are 4 flat bulbs that I used two in the front footwell and two in the trunk lid. For the glove box, I may need another of the flat ones (which only 4 are included), so I'm just sticking with the current incandescent bulb.
