Transmission problems?
I just recently ran some codes and one popped up for a transmission issue with gear 3. Do I have expensive problems?

It could be "fixed" with something as simple as a multi-step fluid and filter change, but I suspect your transmission is near the end of its useful lifetime. More details would be helpful though.
